Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Remove Photo Bg, an online AI image editing service. By using the website or its tools you agree to these Terms. If you create an account, you accept them when you sign up.

1. The service

Remove Photo Bg provides online tools that use artificial intelligence to remove the background from images, erase objects from photos and upscale images, together with simple editing functions such as new backgrounds and cropping. The tools work with JPG, PNG and WEBP images within the size limits shown on the site (currently up to 20 MB and 50 megapixels).

2. Free use

The tools are currently free to use, with or without an account. We may set or change limits (for example image size, number of requests or processing time) and change or discontinue free features to keep the service available for everyone.

3. Paid features

The service currently takes no payments. If paid features (for example credits or high-resolution downloads) are offered later, the price, what you receive and the applicable refund rules are shown before you pay, payments are processed by third-party payment providers, and these Terms apply together with the conditions shown at checkout. If a paid result cannot be produced, the credits reserved for it are returned automatically. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.

4. Your account

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and give accurate information.
  • Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You can ask us to delete your account at any time through the contact page.

5. Your content

You keep all rights to the images you upload and to the results you download. You confirm that you own each image or have the permission needed to upload and edit it, and that doing so does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights. You are responsible for the content you upload and for how you use the results.

You grant us a limited licence to store and process your images only to provide the service to you. We do not use your images to train AI models. Uploaded images and results are deleted automatically after a short period (see the Privacy Policy), so keep your own copies.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

  • upload or create illegal content, including content that sexualises minors, and content that is hateful, harassing or violates the privacy of others;
  • infringe copyright or other rights, including removing watermarks, logos, copyright notices or other rights-management information from images you do not own or are not licensed to edit;
  • create misleading or manipulated images intended to deceive, defraud, defame or impersonate others;
  • access the service with bots, scripts or other automated means, scrape it, or use it as a back end for another service without our written permission;
  • circumvent rate limits or other limits, or place an excessive load on the service;
  • probe, disrupt or attack the service, upload malicious files or try to access data that is not yours, or reverse-engineer the service.

7. AI results

Results are produced automatically by AI models. They can contain errors or artefacts, for example around hair, fine edges, text or complex backgrounds, and the quality depends on the input image. We do not guarantee that a result is accurate, complete or suitable for a particular purpose. Check every result before you use it.

8. Privacy

How we process personal data and images is described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". Maintenance, updates, high demand or technical problems can make it slow or temporarily unavailable, and requests may be refused while the processing queue is full.

10. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend or close access to the service or an account, without prior notice where necessary, if these Terms are violated, if use endangers the service or other users, or if the law requires it. You may stop using the service at any time.

11. Our rights

The website, its software, design and brand are protected and belong to us or our licensors. These Terms do not give you any right to them beyond using the service.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss of data arising from the use of the service or the inability to use it. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes

We may change the service and these Terms. The date of the latest update is shown on this page. If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
